The old Police Station has been transformed into a stunning dining area and lounge boasting original features; including the wooden floors, doors and windows adding to the charm of this already idyllic space.

In Room:

With Blackwood furniture produced on the farm itself as well as Oregon pine ceilings and floors with yellow wood beams, the characteristic features of the building are accentuated with modern fittings taking the otherwise rustic trappings into the 21st century. Rooms have separate entrances for convenience and each has access to a stunning traditional porch ideal for late afternoon reading and relaxing.

Situated in the secluded hamlet of Herold on the famous Route 62, at the top of the Montagu pass in part of South Africa’s sublime Garden Route, Over the Mountain Guest Farm offers more than just comfortable accommodation.

Directions:  

Montagu Pass (12km dirt road) If travelling from George on the N9 you will notice a provincial road sign at the bottom of the Outeniqua Pass indicating right to "Over the Mountain Guest Farm" via the Montagu Pass. Continue up this scenic pass for 12km's until the road becomes tar, you will see us on the right. Outeniqua Pass (35km tar road) Follow the N9 up the Outeniqua Pass heading towards "Uniondale / Oudtshoorn". At the Oudtshoorn turn-off to the left, continue straight on the R62/N9 towards Uniondale. After travelling 9km's turn right at the sign to Herold and Over the Mountain Guest Farm. Continue for 2km's and just before the road becomes dirt (Montagu Pass) turn left and then right into Over the Mountain Guest Farm.
